This debut novel follows an unnamed queer Palestinian-American woman navigating the complexities of identity, culture, and love. Splitting her life between Brooklyn and the Middle East, the protagonist struggles with a history of internal conflict and self-destructive romantic obsessions. After her mother delivers a crushing rejection, the young DJ and aspiring writer eventually enters an unconventional treatment facility called The Ledge to address her love addiction. Throughout her journey, she must confront the deep-seated parallels between her personal emotional fractures and the geopolitical divisions of the places she calls home.
