Cress Watercress

This illustrated woodland animal adventure follows a young rabbit named Cress Watercress and her family. After her father fails to return from a honey-gathering expedition, Cress, her mother, and her little brother Kip must move out of their warren. They relocate to a basement apartment inside a run-down oak tree called the Broken Arms. There, they navigate a lively community of animal neighbors, including a menacing owl landlord, a busybody mouse superintendent, a rowdy family of squirrels, and gossiping songbirds. The story explores themes of grief, growing up, moving on, and finding a sense of home and community amidst change.
