Machines

Machines introduces very young children to equipment used on building sites, at home, and in playgrounds. Each spread includes chunky push, pull, or slide mechanisms that let children interact with diggers, tractors, cranes, and other moving machines while learning simple facts about what they do. Jenny Wren's illustrations support observation, vocabulary, and early discussion of technology. This physical 10-page board book is designed for small hands and children ages one to five, so the existing Preschool age and Children's Activity Books classification are appropriate.
