Best friends Kate and Lucie live in an apartment building where canine companions are strictly forbidden. To make up for this, the two dog lovers surround themselves with dog-themed items. Their lives change dramatically when they discover a pair of magical, sparkly pink dog-bone necklaces at a local thrift store. When they put them on, a mysterious force transforms the girls into real-life dogs. Navigating the neighborhood as canines, they must use their new dog senses, along with help from local boys Danny and DJ, to rescue stray dogs and raise money for the local animal shelter.
