A Fine, Fine School

In this humorous standalone picture book, a young student named Tillie attends a highly active school where creative learning thrives, from building pyramids to painting portraits. The school's well-meaning principal, Mr. Keene, is so immensely proud of his institution that he decides to extend the educational experience. He decrees that classes will now meet on Saturdays, soon expanding the schedule to include Sundays, holidays, and even summer vacation. As the exhausted teachers and students lose all of their free time, Tillie must find a gentle way to show her principal that while classroom learning is valuable, spending time living and playing outside of school is just as vital.
